A Message from Dr. Mike Evans

The folks over Badgut recently created this excellent video that explains the basics of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases. I wish that I had such a straightforward, not to mention visually entertaining, video to watch when I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis back in 2008.

I’ve tried explaining to plenty of people what UC is, and why my body is a hot mess because of it. Even after outlining the disease, I still have a number of friends and relatives ask repeatedly for explanations about IBDs. I don’t really know what’s so hard to understand, but maybe the info just sticks better when the disease affects you directly.
