My name is Rasheed Clarke, and I’m a designer, writer, and voice performer. I’ll admit that’s an odd hat trick of skills, but it helps me communicate things good.
I built my professional skills through a variety of post-secondary programs and jobs. After earning a diploma in Radio Broadcasting from Humber College, I worked for several years as a traffic reporter and occasional news and business anchor for radio stations across Ontario, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick.
I then completed a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto Mississauga, where I majored in Communications and Professional Writing. That led to positions in marketing and communications, mostly for not-for-profit organizations, where I designed print and digital materials, managed social media accounts, and revamped websites. I also voiced a few podcasts in there for good measure.
And through all that, I’ve lived with ulcerative colitis, and wrote a book of short stories about it.
Please do get in touch if you're looking for a writer, a designer, a voice performer, or some mind-boggling combination of all three. Oh, and also feel free to send me a message if you or someone you care about is living with ulcerative colitis or a j-pouch and wants to chat. Thanks!
